ElectroStrainer is designed to replace your existing sea strainer. Model sizes are determined by the diameter size of the ElectroStrainer Canister’s inlet/outlet. ElectroStrainer Pro is available in four inlet/outlet model sizes (2”, 1.5”, 1.25” and 1”), and ElectroStrainer Sport is available in two model sizes (1.25” and 1”).
Note: ElectroStrainer model numbers correspond to the inlet/outlet diameter. For example, the ES-125-SPORT model has a 1.25” inlet/out diameter, and an ES-200-PRO has a 2” inlet/outlet diameter.
In most cases, the inlet/outlet size of ElectroStrainer will be the same as the inlet/outlet size of your existing sea strainer.
1. Use our ElectroStrainer Selection Tool: Enter the make, model, and year of your boat, and the lookup tool will tell you which ElectroStrainer model is compatible with your boat.
Note: Model size recommendations are based on information available to ElectroSea regarding factory-configured seawater systems. The selection tool does not account for field modifications or deviations from standard factory installations.
2. Verify your existing strainer size: Check the inlet/outlet size of your existing strainer either by reading its label or by measuring its inlet/out diameter.
3. Consider flow rates: Confirm your system’s seawater requirements are within the selected ElectroStrainer model’s optimal flow rate range.
Note: We do not recommend selecting an ElectroStrainer model for a seawater system that requires flow exceeding the optimal flow rate range. Operating consistently at flow rates above the optimal flow rate range will decrease the useful life of the Cell, and this accelerated use condition is not covered under Warranty.
